Testing and Tagging Maintenance 

It’s important to understand the workplace safety regulation and why the test and tag procedure should be a regular part of your businesses electrical maintenance. 

During a test and tag process, a Oncore Electrical, Licensed Electrician will carefully inspect the safety of each electrical appliance and then testing the appliance to minimise the risk of electrical hazards that can cause damage to your commercial equipment or those who may come into contact with it. 

Electrical issues may arise on your commercial facility, or commercial warehouse and it’s our job to help you minimise those risks under the Australian Safety Standard Regulations dictated in the AS/NZS 3012;2010 for Electrical Installations. Our knowledge and equipment enables us to complete a comprehensive electrical analysis, inspection, testing and appropriate tagging methods of your commercial space. Oncore Electrical provides fault-finding, tool services, electrical maintenance and testing and tagging per your requirements.  

EMERGENCY AND EXIT LIGHTING MAINTENANCE 

Emergency and Exit Lighting is required by law in any commercial building and all emergency lights and exit signs must be inspected at least once every six months. Every siz months inspections much also take place on lamp tests and replacements, as well as a 90 minute discharge test.

RCD TESTING

RCD testing is a service most business owners tend to overlook, it’s common to see safety switches overlooked once they’ve been installed. It’s suggested that these are regularly tested as they mandate electrical security within your workplace.

As per NSW regulation (AS/NZS3760 Standard) your devices must be frequently tested by a licensed electrician. THERMAL IMAGING

Infrared thermographic scanning is a form of testing that focuses mainly on system devices and objects that display a thermal readings.These readings are predominately used to indicate the electrical capacity of a device or system, these tests are important as it will allow our electricians to alert you of any potential risk to your business.

LOAD TESTING

There are two main ways to properly load test with meters, there is the temporary meter that is commonly used to perform data logging or a fixed metering system. A fixed metering system is commonly used where your facility/building is always on.

This allows data to be stored and gives you easy access. Temporary meters are another solutions our customers use, they’re most common when you’re looking at an expansion of your workplace and you need to isolated any appliance/tools that are increasing your energy consumption.
